Hi

I'm running a pretty much uptodate Gentoo system but with nano from gnu.org
compiled with --enable-all.

    GNU nano version 1.3.10 (compiled 08:31:24, Jan 25 2006)
    Compiled options: --enable-color --enable-extra --enable-multibuffer
    --enable-nanorc --enable-utf8

    gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8)

I tried to reproduce the crash with the posted 3 line test but couldn't, 
this is running in gnome terminal and nothing clever in the keymap 
department.
