Well if you are editing *.go or Makefile you'll need tabs. But if you are editing *.py - you'll need spaces.

What setting?  Please learn that a subject line or a title is not
part of the text.  Your text stripped of all headers should make
sense in itself.  But apart from that criticism:

unsetting of the tabstospaces option would be useful.
