Type 'cat' in the terminal and press up arrow, enter, and shift + up arrow. Do
they produce different codes? If not, you'll need to figure out how to make
your terminal produce unique codes, or use a different terminal.
Otherwise, what version of nano and what terminal are you using? It works fine
in 3.1 with the following use flags and urxvt, xterm or linux console.
(ncurses unicode -debug -justify -magic -minimal -nls -slang -spell -static)
Shift selections were added in 2.7.0, so Gentoo's stable 2.8.7 version should
also work, but it lacks numerous improvements to selections.
