[Nel] Can't found (find) the direct input dll

I've compiled Nel and the cluster viewer program, but when I run the 
executable, I get:

02/10/31 18:46:42 WRN  904 common.cpp 493 : Exception will be launched: 
can't found the direct input dll
02/10/31 18:46:42 INF  904 driver_opengl.cpp 593 : can't found the direct 
input dll

Is there another Nel dll that I need to build for this? The snowballs demo 
runs fine, without any kind of input dll in the snowballs directory. I 
tried copying the dinput.dll file from wnnt/system32 into the cluster 
viewer directory, but it doesn't make a difference.

Any ideas?
