Or, per the description of mhdraft in mh-profile(1):
$ cat `mhparam path`/auto_send
[ "$mhdraft" ] && send "$mhdraft"
$ dist [...] -whatnowproc `mhparam path`/auto_send
With the -whatnowproc switch, the -noedit isn't necessary.
