Hello!  I'm using gcc 4.4.5 which I built from source along w/ all it's
dependencies.   It built all the way through stage2, so I doubt there is a
problem other than whatever bugs it has. You asked what came w/ Solaris 10 and
I told you.

Is Octave ANSI C++ compliant?

BTW Here's where configure dies:
