Follow-up Comment #5, bug #35679 (project octave): median has had segfault problems way back before: https://mailman.cae.wisc.edu/pipermail/bug-octave/2006-July/006939.html It's worrying for a software of this age to have such basic bugs. Perhaps 3.6 isn't really a stable branch.
