Update of bug #36453 (project octave):

                  Status:                    None => Confirmed              


Follow-up Comment #1:

Actually the packages are not uninstalled, the global_list file is just
deleted.  As a workaround, running

pkg rebuild -global

should give you back your list of installed packages.

In testing this I have discovered some other odd related behaviors.  Does
anyone know why a global uninstall iterates first through the union of local
and global packages, then local packages only?
