Follow-up Comment #9, bug #38424 (project octave):
I did
cd gnulib-hg
hg pull http://hg.octave.org/gnulib
hg update
hg --debug id
<Place new revision ID in ../.hgsubstate>
hg ci
hg push
Marco, try pulling and updating to the latest revision in the Mercurial
archives. You may need to run the bootstrap script again. I'm not sure that
the changes to the source files in gnulib-hg will be noticed and libgnu
rebuilt.
Post back if everything is working and I will close this report.
