Follow-up Comment #1, bug #39455 (project octave):
At runtime on the target system the Qt-translation directory where the
translation files are expected is the absolute path
/_path_to_mxe_build_dir_/usr/i686-pc-mingw32/translations
of the build system. This directory does not exist on the target system. On
the build system, only the qscintilla translation files are copied into this
dir, but not the qt translation files.
