Follow-up Comment #4, bug #32036 (project octave):
I can confirm that this still fails for a 3.7.6 MXE build on WinXP
$ f=fopen("test_data_cc.log","w");
$ cd "share/octave/3.7.6/etc/tests/libinterp/corefcn"
$ test("data.cc-tst", "quiet", f)
PASSES 845 out of 848 tests
