Follow-up Comment #30:

I checked in a final changeset to have the moment function default to central
moments instead of raw moments
(http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/58b39152b0f6).  All three changes
to moment, skewness, and kurtosis will be part of version 3.8.0.  Closing
report.
