Follow-up Comment #3, bug #40256 (project octave):
Attached patch fixes this bug for the example below.
Rik, there are a lot of ticklabel conversions in __go_draw_axes__.m
Many of this conversions are already done in graphic.cc (see for example bug
34906 <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?34906>), so I could clean up
__go_draw_axes__.m a little bit. But I suggest to do this after the release.
