Follow-up Comment #2, bug #40955 (project octave):
Furthermore, I'm not sure this really is a "bug".
Our goal is to make sure that if it works in Matlab, it works in Octave and
produces the same numbers. We are generally less concerned about cosmetic
differences. For example, we don't consider the fact that the default prompt
says "octave:1>" instead of ">>" a bug.
I like Octave's default display more than Matlab's, personally. It's nice to
be able to look at the values it contains, and it's nice that it explicitly
says the type, a scalar struct, instead of the much-misunderstood struct
array.
