Honestly, I haven’t used this recently, and I am inclined not to use it anymore.
When I submitted this proposal, I did not realize how bleeding-edge the tip build is---it doesn’t even compile with clang, due to its stricter standards adherence. That’s by no means a criticism! The tip build is expected to be unstable. But it does point
out the peril of trying to support an automated build from the dev tree.
For that reason I’m inclined not to include a --HEAD option in Octave’s Homebrew formula, which was the original purpose for this.
It’s OK with me, therefore, if we close this.
