The pkg commands all accept a -verbose option that prints information about
what each command is doing. For pkg install, it shows the unpacking,
configure, and make commands, but the compilation commands used for oct-files
are still hidden behind mkoctfile.

I propose that pkg install -verbose should add --verbose to the MKOCTFILE
environment variable so all compilation commands can be seen as well. This can
be very useful for users to debug what's going on or to see the compilation
commands in build logs on Debian buildds or other build systems.

I haven't looked at where the pkg improvement project is right now, but
perhaps this can be pulled into that effort. I'll hold off pushing this to the
main repository because I know there's been work done on pkg in a separate
branch. Attaching a diff that worked for me with a test install of a Forge
