Follow-up Comment #5, bug #39173 (project octave):
fltk line anti-aliasing has been fixed as per patch #8259, though it's been
applied to gui-release only (v.4.0) -- maybe it should be backported to
stable, to be available in 3.8.1? it was applied on Dec 16, before the Jan
1st date of release of 3.8.0.
maybe you were also experiencing the fltk problems reported in bug #41583.
