Follow-up Comment #2, bug #41814 (project octave): Perhaps related, on running the current devel code from the gui-release branch in linux (fedora, kde), I have the cursor shown and blinking in both the editor and the console. When I type something it appears in the editor. Clicking in another octave window sets states correctly. This is with the non-default window set up as shown in the attached image, where both the editor and comsole are displayed at the same time on startup.
