Follow-up Comment #23, bug #42097 (project octave):

I tried one last thing.  I ripped out the F77 macros and
called the dgeev in the same manner that I call it in the test program, and I
still get the wrong results from octave.
Is there a compiler option/flag that could be causing the problem?
