I noticed that the Octave implementation of the integer
data types is much more complete and useful than the
Matlab (R2009b) implementation. (As far as I could tell
you cannot in Matlab carry out any substantial computation
in any integer modes. I just implemented computation of
the inverse of the Hilbert matrix in int64. Works fine
in Octave, cannot be done in Matlab.)
The Matlab differences are nowhere that I could find
mentioned in the Manual,
Ch 4 Numeric Data Types might be a good place to point
out the differences.
Is his dealt with somewhere that I have missed?
Somewhat off topic, it would also be helpful to have a
Chapter titled "Summary of Octave Matlab differencs"...
This could be a candidate for one of the Summer projects?
