Follow-up Comment #30, bug #41699 (project octave):

Just rebuild Octave via MXE to see if there was any change in behavior.

test imread
exit(0)

still produces a segfault as you exit Octave.
Here is the error message.

octave:2> exit
warning: Invalid parameter passed to C runtime function.


error: writing file 'U:.octave_hist': No such file or directory
error: ignoring octave_execution_exception while preparing to exit

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
