Follow-up Comment #9, bug #42562 (project octave): Well, python can also read it and matlab itself can also read it. I think we better read these files! To me it seems that read_mat5_tag in libinter/corefun/ls-mat5.cc is not implementing the mat-file format correctly. Although we haven't put the finger on it yet.
