Follow-up Comment #5:
I can confirm that the "rotation" property does not work with text objects
using gnuplot with the windows terminal. This includes axis labels, which are
also text objects.
Specifically, the following works perfectly with the fltk and qt toolkits, but
not gnuplot:
h = text (0.5, 0.5, "Hello world", "rotation", 90);
The value of the property is correct, but gnuplot does not draw it rotated.
