Follow-up Comment #2:

I am preparing a patch, which adds an extra action for interrupting with fixed
shortcut Ctrl-C to the terminal. In the case that Ctrl-C (the default) is used
for the copy-action, this new action is disabled and the interrupt is handled
by the copy routine.

IMHO, we can not handle the duplicate use Ctrl-C in other actions than copy.
This implies that selecting the shortcut Ctrl-C to other actions than copy
have to be prevented by the shortcut manager.
