Follow-up Comment #1, bug #44307 (project octave):
I agree an autoscale menu option would be useful.
Currently the middle mouse button is supposed to clear the zoom stack and
resume autoscaling. Does that do what you expect? If so, then it should be
easy enough to do the same for a menu item or toolbar button.
