Follow-up Comment #15, bug #44415 (project octave): Don't close this report. FLTK appears to work fine and is an interface to OpenGL so I would assume there is something that can be done. It's just that it might be more work than we hope, i.e., not something so trivial as just changing GL_THIS_OPTION to GL_THAT_OPTION. Images of size greater than 4096 are definitely not something out of the norm, so this seems fairly important. Right now there are enough bugs in Qt/FLTK to put V4.0 off a while.
