Update of bug #44447 (project octave):

Category: Configuration and Build System => Octave Forge
Package

Follow-up Comment #6:

Hmmm, how about the wish that MXE binaries would be released with pre-built
packages?

Anyway, as to comment #3 (building dependencies): nice that dependencies can
always be built.

FTR, I've almost finished with a new linear-algebra release (ismatrix
changes), this weekend a new io release (bug fixes), a little later mapping,
and I have locally (on my boxes) fixed versions of communications, dicom,
odepkg, data-smoothing, fl-core and windows that compile and work in
3.9.1+/4.0.0 (at least they did until recently).

As to those latter ones, I'll try to supply patches for the respective OF
package repos later (I can't spend much time on Octave these days).

<Category changed to "Octave-Forge package".
It is not Octave's conf./build system that is at fault, it's the OF packages
that lag behind>
