Thanks again. I had tried this already (see comment #27). Nevertheless, I did
as you told and got the following
octave:1> sombrero
octave:2> __osmesa_print__ (gcf)
18c3caa0
panic: Segmentation fault -- stopping myself...
attempting to save variables to 'octave-workspace'...
save to 'octave-workspace' complete
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Does the pointer tell you something?
