Follow-up Comment #51, bug #44916 (project octave): Michael: Sorry, I missed your comment (#50 (!)). Are you actually building with qt5? I thought we bypassed that even if it was present on the build system and were still using qt4. Yes, the --no-gui option still uses the octave-gui binary that is linked with Qt but it just doesn't start the GUI. So on some systems the Qt graphics window hangs when connecting with ssh but we have no clue why or how to avoid that problem? But the fltk widget works? Ugh. This is really becoming annoying.
