Follow-up Comment #4, bug #45206 (project octave):
Actually, this appears to be a different problem
from the Mac OS problem reported in bug #42838.
In Fedora 22:
>> version
ans = 4.0.0
>> graphics_toolkit('gnuplot')
>> demo plot
works correctly for both gnuplot-5.0 installs.
For some reason Fedora 22 offers:
gnuplot-5.0.0-8.fc22.x86_64
and
gnuplot-wx-5.0.0-8.fc22.x86_64
Both provide /usr/bin/gnuplot, but gnuplot-wx also provides
/usr/bin/gnuplot-wx
The only difference appears to be that gnuplot
sets the terminal type qt and gnulot-wx
sets the terminal type to wxt
So, this bug report is reporting that the use of
gnuplot when creating the user Manual has an error
which shows up if the version of gnuplot is 5.0.
And, therefore, it should be reopened.
