Follow-up Comment #41, bug #44998 (project octave): I back tracked gcc to be NOT multilib for a mxe compile and built without the installer and tried it. I don't see any issues running a native compiled io with it, so it appears to me that there is an issue with the multilib created version of gcc 4.9.2.
