URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?45533> Summary: Long output is run through less even in the GUI Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: timmmm Submitted on: Sun 12 Jul 2015 19:52:34 GMT Category: GUI Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Other Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Timmmm Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 4.0.0 Operating System: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: By default in Octave 4.0.0, when you run a command that outputs a lot of text it is displayed using the `less` command. This makes no sense at all because in the GUI it is trivial to scroll back. Also it interferes with running further commands (e.g. the Run Selection command seems to do nothing if you are blocked in `less`). Suggested fix: Don't use `less` in the GUI. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?45533> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
