Follow-up Comment #5, bug #46861 (project octave):
I got some assistance in trying to debug this issue on IRC by mtmx, who states
that "[I] do not have a qterminal thread running for some reason, either did
not start or aborted and this does not tell us why" by looking at output from
running `gdb` and "thread apply all bt".
