Details:

I ran many of the graphics demos with the qt and gnuplot toolkits. I recorded
the differences I found below. The tests were done with gnuplot 5.0.1 and the
development tip 21761:ff2b9f7069c5. The format is "FUNCTION : DEMO # :
PROBLEM"

ezmeshc : #1 : mesh is completely white
polar : #1 : a rectangular box is drawn around the entire plot
ezsurf : #3 : position of titles is within the plot, rather than above it.
ezsurfc : #1 : shading is different. It is faceted for OpenGl, and possibly
'flat' for gnuplot.
isosurface : #1 : squashed perspective (not axis equal). plot box is still
on
meshc : #1 : mesh is compltely white
patch : #7 : 'interp' shading is not working
plotyy : #1 : causes hard failure.
Gdk:ERROR:/build/gtk+2.0-gl_hAC/gtk+2.0-2.24.28/gdk/gdkregion-generic.c:337:miSetExtents:
assertion failed: (pExtents->y1 < pExtents->y2)
annotation : #1 : hangs Octave

It seems several are related to the box command which does not remove all axis
lines in gnuplot as it does with OpenGL.
