Follow-up Comment #7, bug #48680 (project octave):

After restarting, Octave still works without crashing when I move the window
around. 

On a related note, I can get it to crash by manipulating the command window.
This only happens on my second, larger monitor. I have the command window set
up to take up the entire right hand side of the Octave window, so it is very
long vertically. In this configuration, only the left hand side of the command
window shows anything, and the right hand side is blank. I have attached a
screenshot. If I move the command window down to the bottom of the Octave
window, it shows all of the text. If I move it back to its original position,
Octave crashes.
