Follow-up Comment #74, bug #44916 (project octave): John, It is something in one of my init files. If I run octave --no-gui --no-init-file --norc then it works correctly. And, octave --no-gui --no-init-file also works. What does --no-init-file turn off? I will isolate what it is soon.
