Follow-up Comment #7, bug #45406 (project octave):

I encountered a problem when I tried to install the netcdf package to octave
on my macbook (os x 10.9.5). I got similar error messages like Greg’s. I am
hoping to get advice from you here.
I defined PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH by adding export
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=“/opt/local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" to the end of the
./bash_profile. They should correspond to the libraries, which are
/opt/local/bin/nc-config, and -L/opt/local/lib -lnetcdf -lhdf5_hl -lhdf5 -ldl
-lm -lz -lcurl, respectively. Despite of this setting, the installation still

I am not sure what I can do to solve this problem. I would be very appreciated
if anyone can help me out. Thank you very much.

My error message is here:
