Follow-up Comment #15, bug #49179 (project octave): I have downloaded and installed "gp504-win32-mingw.exe" from the mentioned Soureforge site (My Win7 PC is 64bit, but Octave MinGW is 32 bit I think, so I hope this was the right gnuplot version to use). I then used the "gnuplot_binary" command to really use this seperatly installed gnuplot version from within Octave. Result: Those hang-ups are still there!
