Follow-up Comment #4, bug #49718 (project octave): The default install directory was C:\Octave\Octave-4.2.0\, which I chose not to use. The installer did not allow installing into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Octave\Octave-4.2.0\" due to spaces in the directory name. However, it did allow installing to the directory C:\Program_Files_(x86)\Octave\Octave-4.2.0\ . I used the default graphics toolkit, which seems to be qt. I think a safe way would be to raise a note about possible problems during the installation if the installation directory contains questionable characters. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?49718> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
