Update of bug #49842 (project octave): Status: None => Patch Submitted _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #1: Attached is the patch to add native2unicode and unicode2native. The Wiki mentions ICU as a open-source library for the conversion of strings between different codepages. [1] So I hope it is OK that I used that. The necessary files were already installed in my Ubuntu (icu-devtools). It might be necessary to apt-get it manually on other systems.
