Follow-up Comment #42, bug #49609 (project octave):
In addition to the last comment, to add
"export OMP_NUM_THREADS=1"
before using the commands "/usr/bin/octave --force-gui %f" or "/usr/bin/octave
--force-gui" in the .desktop file does not solve the problem.
