Follow-up Comment #28, bug #45497 (project octave): Octave had repelems before Matlab had repelem. Then Matlab included a syntax incompatible repelem in 2014 or 2015. I don't recall the exact difference but my best understanding was that repelemms was limited to vectors while repelem was generalized to do run length decoding for n-dimensional arrays. At least that's what I needed it for when I found it was missing.
