Follow-up Comment #10, bug #50106 (project octave):

Philip, of course unhiding the editor in case of changed files would only
happen if the behavior for closing the editor is "keep files open".

What exactly is the other issue you mentioned with the editor refusing to save
a file if the syntax is not correct?
