Hi,

I am using Octave 4.2.1 on Mac El Capitan, and I installed it via Homebrew.

Octave freezes when the cursor touches the vertical scroll bar, and the cursor
switches to the colour wheel.  The cursor becomes normal when it is outside of
the Octave window, so I am able to force quit it.  

Also, the upper most menu bar is normally irresponsive.

However, when the cursor is outside of the window when Octave is launching and
I click outside the window, such that the menu bar is that of the OS X, and I
go with the cursor around the Octave window to the menu bar, click on it, then
click on the Octave window, the Octave window bar becomes responsive.  

It is also possible to resize the Octave window then from the upper right
corner.
