Follow-up Comment #21, bug #51388 (project octave): On Windows, / and \ are both accepted as directory separators, but won't compare equal if we just do string comparisons. Maybe we need "same_file" or "same_directory" functions? Oh, we do have a same_file function. It doesn't look at the names, but uses stat (or the Windows equivalent) and checks inodes and device ids.
