Follow-up Comment #4, bug #51633 (project octave):
It is true of double, char, int32, classdef. So
c = 'c';
class1 = class1_constr;
my_int = int32(32);
d = 24;
All work, both in Matlab and in Octave. As far as I can tell only struct
doesn't.
