Follow-up Comment #20, bug #52135 (project octave):
I completely re-vamped the input validation. See the attached bar.diff4. It
now correctly (???) processes
bar ([3, 4], 'stacked')
as well as stuff that even Matlab rejects like
bar (1, [3; 4], 'stacked')
