Follow-up Comment #4, bug #41953 (project octave): This "GUI Crash on Startup" still happened on my Windows 10 with GNU Octave GUI 4.2.1. I was able to work around it by deleting two of Octave's temp files (but not the folders): C:\Users\username\.config\octave\qt-settings C:\Users\username\.config\4.2.1\qsci\octave_kbf.pap. Note: “username” was my real user name in the above file paths. What had led up to the GUI crash on startup always occurring was the the Window was docked way to the right of my 2nd monitor with my desktop across 2 monitors. I set some breakpoints and had trouble clearing them so I exited Octave in when the script was paused. After that I was unable to reopen the GUI without it crashing. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?41953> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
