Follow-up Comment #1, bug #52508 (project octave):
It should indeed run octpy.exe because Python and SymPy are doing the actual
symbolic computations. But later commands should *reuse* the same process.
1. Does the "Communication established" line show up each time you press F5?
2. Instead of "Run program (F5)", can you try typing some symbolic commands
from the Octave command line? Does that still start more than octpy.exe?
(I don't really know what "Run program (F5)" actual does; maybe it starts a
new clean workspace, in which case this might be the expected behaviour,
although the processes shouldn't persist...)
3. What version are you using? This "bundle" package from github right?
