As a first pass, try and narrow it down. Does this segfault
/bin/sh ../run-octave --norc --silent --no-history
test ov-class.cc
It might or might not.
The next step would be to look at ov-class.cc-tst and comment half the tests
and re-run 'test ov-class.cc-tst' and see if it works or not. Continue
reducing the tests until you have found the failing one.
The file ov-class.cc-tst is pretty small so I quote it here

My guess is that it is really going to be something to do with Java and the
